Amazon Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Defect Prevention & Reconciliation in Bellevue, Washington

Description

The Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent exceptions within Amazon’s fulfillment supply chain. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns). This role is responsible for driving reimbursement policy valuation WW, which covers selling partner and associate experience.

This role’s WW scope includes collaborating and designing innovative and industry-leading technical solutions within the reimbursement space. As a Sr. Product Manager-Tech(PMT), you will design product vision and strategy, define requirements to solve your customer pain points, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within Business, Science, Tech, and Operations. This role is responsible for writing proposals surfaced to Amazon executive leadership, making complex trade-offs, getting alignment from stakeholders, and driving implementation.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and deliver important programs with broad cross-organizational, cross-business, or significant technology impact.

  • Operate with complete independence in the face of ambiguity to solve problems on areas where the business and/or architectural strategy might not yet be defined.

  • Understand internal system technologies and the interaction from upstream dependencies. Apply this knowledge to invent, evolve, and improve, defect prevention and reconciliation.

  • Partner with all levels of leadership to drive business and system-level reviews, aligning priorities, roadmaps, and processes.

  • Manage communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and needs aligned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
