We are seeking a skilled and creative writer to join our newsroom team to create proactive external content in the form of press releases, scripts and long-form articles for the T-Mobile Newsroom and other owned channels. You will be a content creator and project manager who will work to communicate T-Mobile's vision, values and initiatives to the media, consumers and customers. If you are a creative go-getter who grasps the importance of audience-focused communications and loves to generate provoking and impactful content, this is an exceptional opportunity for you! * This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in the office and is based in Bellevue, Washington. * Job Responsibilities: Handle writing and editing projects, ensuring they are accurate and completed on time. Update and maintain an editorial calendar for press releases, brand journalism articles and other external content. Write and edit short and long-form content, such as press releases, thought leadership articles, video scripts, key messages and other external communication materials, ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative that aligns to audience needs. Work cross-functionally with public relations, corporate communications and marketing to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging. Research and stay up to date on industry trends, market developments and competitor activities to advise on content creation. Use generative AI tools to increase efficiency of crafting original content. Coordinate with designers, video producers and other partners to deliver high-quality, engaging content and materials. Assist on other team projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field plus 3-5 years experience working on corporate communications content for a fast-paced and dynamic corporate communications team or PR agency. Good project management skills for simultaneously overseeing multiple projects. Superb problem-solving, analytical, and calendar management skills. Experience working with various partners (e.g. marketing leads). A keen interest in learning the wireless technology industry - past, current and future. Exceptional writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and the ability to adapt writing style and tone to different audiences and formats. Proficient in AP style. Interest in writing catchy headlines and display copy. Solid understanding of different media/communications across various audiences (e.g. PESO: paid, earned, shared, owned). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g. Teams). Knowledge of generative AI tools such as Writer and ChatGPT.
