BYTEDANCE INC. Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Multiple Positions) in Bellevue, Washington

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform system testing including requirements analysis, design review, test plan formulation, design and execute test cases, conduct defect tracking, and software quality analysis.  
  • Participate in the development of automated testing tools/frameworks, automatically building test environments, and continuous integration.  
  • Understand the tools and techniques used in developing new products and work with cross-functionality teams to establish and refine dashboards and metrics to facilitate the data-driven approach.  
  • Help implement test tools and collaborate with automation/performance test teams to build up internal tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive.  
  • Mentor interns and junior Engineers.  

     

Qualifications

 

Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

 

 

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

 

  • Creating and supporting REST-based API automation testing frameworks using Python;

``` - Performing and executing quality assurance testing for mobile security products and large-scale client server applications;   - Creating test cases and test plans; and   - Reporting bugs using bug tracking tools and working with developers to resolve those issues.
