BYTEDANCE INC. Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Multiple Positions) in Bellevue, Washington

Responsibilities

 

  • Design test strategy, write test cases, execute functional, performance, and regression test cases, and verify bug fixes and generate test reports.  
  • Perform test automation and build CI/CD related work and enhance Quality Assurance (QA) process improvement to help improve product quality and efficiency.  
  • Improve system and tool quality and efficiency through technical means such as tool platform development, automated testing, and performance testing.  
  • Identify, document, and report software bugs and user experience issues in a detailed-oriented, but efficient manner, and identify and prioritize critical issues, escalating appropriately.  
  • Communicate test status with the design and development teams to ensure that the features of the software/platform solution are tested and that defects are corrected before products and systems go live.  
  • Review and analyze acceptance criteria for completeness and review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.  
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure proper execution, and develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures for manual and automated testing.  
  • Generate Agile test plans and contribute to automation testing strategy, and contribute to the retrospective reviews to introduce efficiencies which will ensure quicker delivery with high quality.  
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities.  
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and interns.  

     

Qualifications

 

Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

 

 

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

 

  • Developing testing framework using Python, Java, or Kotlin programing language;  
  • Building CI/CD pipeline system to validate software lifecycles and workflows using Jenkins for testing different version release across both Android and iOS operation system;  
  • Developing framework structure, library files implementation, and repository configuration for software testing modules to solve customized automation test;  
  • Validating the networking interaction flow between client side and server side through the TCP, UDP, or HTTP network protocols and SQL database;  
  • Creating and performing functional, stress, negative, compatibility, user interface, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance test cases to meet the requirements of software design and product features; and  
  • Working on the bug report, bug reproduction, bug tracking, issue analysis, and dashboard visualization.
