Amazon Senior Program Manager, Amazon Air Speed & Yield Management in Bellevue, Washington
Description
Amazon Air is looking for a Senior Program Manager (Sr. PM) in the AIR Speed and Yield Management (SPYM) team with excellent leadership skills and a strong record of delivering results who will own and execute strategic, ambiguous, and cross-functional projects across the AIR network.
The team is comprised of leaders who are passionate about building the roadmap to enable Amazon Air to scale the business and drive innovation. The Sr PM will be responsible for a large, cross-functional, portfolio that is key to scaling how quickly Amazon Air delivers its packages to its customers. The Sr PM will own high visibility programs to enable efficient operating rhythm of the AIR organization to deliver speed for its customers including: managing executive business reviews, cross-team coordination, project management, executive presentation, and management of project scope. The ideal candidate will:
Lean on their ability to lead and develop cross-functional project teams responsible for global business-impacting projects
Use written and oral communications day to day and "produce well written documents" and presentations to leaders
Have high attention to detail, including ability to manage competing priorities, simultaneously
Used their skill to influence internal and external organizations to achieve corporate goals, including the ability to influence upward as necessary
Strive to think strategically and execute methodically
Regularly dig into potential risks and develop mitigation plans
Key job responsibilities
Managing cross-functional project teams, and planning/organizing/executing complex projects across multiple organizations (Tech, Finance, Product, etc.) to enable the launch of new products and processes
Partnering with key functional stakeholders across the company to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives
Innovating to improve project scope/execution to improve the speed at which customers receive their packages
Navigating through ambiguity; managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the cross-functional processes, and delivering on commitments
Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
