Amazon Senior Product Manager, WW Innovation Engineering, AMZL in New York, New York

Description

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Sr. Product Mgr. to lead the application of Robotics technologies into our WW (World Wide) Delivery Station Network. The successful candidate will be a member of the Amazon Logistics Global Innovation Engineering team and will be responsible to strategize, define and manage the lifecycle of new robotics technologies for the Delivery Stations network.

This role requires experienced and entrepreneurial minded individuals with combined robotics, engineering, planning and analytical skills. This individual will own the full lifecycle management of Robotics and will partner with Robotics, SW Tech Teams, Process Engineering, Operations, and other last mile teams to effectively operate advanced robotics technology across WW Amazon's last mile network.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle for a large product or suite of products. You define the 3–5-year strategic vision, have a long-term roadmap, and drive teams to execute on that vision. You own customer engagement and take point on product reliability issues impacting customers.

• Design product value propositions and communications for large audiences including leadership and stakeholders.

• Lead the 3YF and OP planning cycles for WW New Tech space liaising with all key stakeholders across last mile businesses.

• Identify and proactively manage areas of business importance related to your product(s): customer value, market opportunity, financial and legal compliance, endemic problems, and any other large risks.

• Influence Automation roadmap priorities and reach consensus on approach/prioritization with various stakeholders like tech teams.

• Drive product discussions. Distil clear requirements from large and diverse sets of customers, partners, vendors, and regional agencies/business entities.

• Responsible for benchmarking and financial validation of future tech given 3Y outlook

• Influence technical and business decisions working through data-driven contributions based on technology tests and validation plans.

• Assist the technical teams on making right trade-off decisions between time, effort, features, etc.

• Lead the discussion for scalability strategy of new technologies working with various teams like Engineering, vendors, Supply Chain, Corp Dev., etc.

A day in the life

You will ideate and bring to life new technologies for AMZL. Your day could include: working with teams on new concepts for AMZL with automation and robotics technology to being in the field and learning the challenges that Ops face. You would write a business case and work with stakeholders to build a case for piloting new technology. You could dive deep int understanding how the tech influences AMZL processes and the associate’s lives. You will influence the business on GO/NO-GO for the new tech into AMZL. Bringing your entrepreneurial and innovative spirits will be a daily ordeal – it's always Day 1.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
