Amazon Principal Program Manager, Same Day , in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Sub-Same Day is looking for a Principal, Program Manager with a delivery record and proven program management experience to own a significantly complex and cross-organization building design initiative for our faster than Same Day fulfillment centers. Robust understanding of fulfillment operations including under-the-roof and on-the-road processes, engineering product solutions and development of long term roadmaps. This role will play a critical role in designing the future building design solutions for the Sub-Same Day business. It requires a high-level of ownership over the strategic design and implementation, the ability to think outside of the box, willingness to disrupt the current processes to create a new process, the ability to understand one-way vs two-way doors, make trade-off decisions and influence stakeholders. This role will scope highly complex building design solutions, identify risks/opportunities in strategies, effectively force multiple and communicate to senior management to accelerating business progress.

This role can be located in Bellevue or Nashville corporate offices.

Key job responsibilities

• Driving significantly complex building design solutions to improve the end-to-end fulfillment process (cost and quality)

• Partnering with cross-organizational teams to plan, organize and execute building design enhancements to achieve our 2024 goals.

• Gathering and analyzing data across fulfillment and delivery functions to establish standards for operations and other cross functional teams

• Analyzing and solving operational barriers independently with a focus on understanding trade offs between business opportunity, resources, and sustainability.

The Principle, Program Manager will also demonstrate:

• Confidence operating in a highly ambiguous and complex space

• High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

• Willingness to challenge and influence VPs

• Ability to think strategically and solve important initiatives that resolve critical problems.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired

• Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
