Amazon Principal Product Manager - Tech, Strategic Sourcing in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Join SCOT Optimal Sourcing Systems - Strategic Sourcing to build full stack supply chain systems with a focus on transforming our vendor experience and innovating our access to supply.

Key job responsibilities

• Define a data-driven product vision, develop business cases, requirements, and prioritize competing opportunities.

• Work directly with engineering, science and data analytics partners to build exceptional vendor experiences and new ML based supply chain products.

• Build a deep data driven understanding of product and business health metrics

• Partner with other teams across Amazon Product and Tech to identify and influence development of new products and services.

• Understand customer (external and internal) and vendor needs, define clear project plans and execute to high expectations in a fast-paced environment.

• Interact with WW stakeholders at multiple levels and in multiple locations, working with business, operations, tech and BI teams to define and deliver solutions.

• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs to balance business needs versus technical or operational constraints.

• Collaborate with global stakeholders in other regions to define requirements that support international use cases.

• About 10% travel required.

About the team

The Strategic Sourcing team (in SCOT Optimal Sourcing Systems) is responsible for increasing access to supply for Amazon.com customers through supply chain systems, programs and vendor experiences. You will join a strong, cross-functional team of product managers, BIEs, scientists, UX designers and SDEs to build vendor experiences and ML driven products. We serve external Amazon shoppers by building new, innovative vendor experiences that are transforming the way our vendors do business with Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
