Information Security Analyst TerraPower is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative Information Security Analyst to join our growing Information Security team. A successful candidate responds to potentially time-sensitive situations with the right balance of expeditious and methodical. Someone who demonstrates integrity, awareness and adaptability working in a diverse team with dynamically shifting requirements would excel in this role. TerraPower will only consider candidates for this role who are a permanent resident of Washington state or are willing to relocate. As an Information Security Analyst, you will play an important role in protecting the organization's digital assets, sensitive information, and personnel from the ever-evolving cybersecurity threat landscape. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring security events, identifying & responding to incidents and relevant help desk tickets, training end-users in security best practices, maintaining accurate documentation, and assessing risks for new software requests. Key Responsibilities Leverage and enhance company's Incident Response procedure to facilitate appropriate, timely and consistent response activities. Such as containment, investigations and recovery from security incidents and breaches. Triage and respond accordingly to new security alerts from our Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service as well as user reports of suspicious activity and email. Collaborate with other team members to prepare incident reports, including root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement. Support the development and delivery of security awareness training to meet compliance objectives and enhance the organization's security posture. Conduct routine internal phishing simulations, manage reported suspicious emails, and distribute communications for emerging cybersecurity threats and trends. Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures for security-related policies, procedures, and standards, based on industry regulations and best practices. Assess new software and technology requests to determine potential security risks and provide recommendations and guidance to ensure those risks can be sufficiently mitigated. Support other security related process and tools as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience. 5 years
