Siemens Digital Industries Software (DI SW) is seeking a HR Operations Specialist who will work in a highly dedicated and innovative team working to develop and run best-in-class HR processes and procedures. This role will be focused on Mobility and Immigration work in the US and Canada.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Siemens Global Mobility team (US Immigration, Delegations, Foreign Local Hires, etc.) to support processes across the organization (e.g., travel letters, DI SW approvals).

  • Assist with vendor partnerships to build and manage resource strategies, execute project plans, and acquire data to support recruitment activities.

  • Support our Canadian DI SW operations with various HR Operational tasks, incl. vendor engagement (e.g.; Canadian Immigration Nomination Program).

  • Authorization to initiate US Immigration services (extensions, green cards, travel letters, consultations etc.)

  • Discussion with GMM Immigration Consultant and internal stakeholders on US Immigration policies and their enforcement (policy changes, policy exceptions etc.)

  • Reporting necessary for US Immigration compliance topics (stakeholder identification, RIF, Location Moves, M&A activities etc.)

  • Authorization and discussion on US Immigration compliance topics (prevailing wage issues, working location issues, separations etc.)

  • Point of Contact for M&A activities

  • Point of Contact for Escalation topics

  • Internal coordination and management of the Labor Certification PERM in collaboration with Siemen’s outside law firm.

  • Support F-1 student OPT I-983 requirements.

  • Prepare US and Canada invitation letters for international business travelers.

  • Prepare immigration related Employment Verification letters.

  • Coordinate the annual H1B CAP lottery with Siemens GMM Immigration Consultant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of employment-based U.S. and global visas/work permits, permanent residency applications, and related immigration processes, forms, applications, laws, and compliance trends

  • Proficiency in business systems tools such as Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Organization and attention to detail

  • International work experience a plus.

  • Attention to detail, with research skills

  • Written and oral communication skills that strengthen and maintain positive internal and external customer relationships.

  • Team building skills and the desire to work with various departments and foster collaboration.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage workflow under tight deadlines and with conflicting demands.

  • Work effectively and confidently with Siemens GMM Immigration Consultants, customers, and all levels of stakeholders.

The hourly range for this position is $31.45 to $56.00 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
