Assistant Director of Admissions - Chestnut Hill Academy, a Bright Horizons School

We are seeking a motivated and strategic Elementary School Assistant Director of Admissions to join the leadership team at Chestnut Hill Academy, a K-5 elementary school located in Bellevue.

Chestnut Hill Academy is a vibrant community that prioritizes leadership development and global citizenship. The Assistant Director of Admissions role involves managing the admissions process, enhancing student recruitment strategies, and building meaningful relationships with prospective families and community stakeholders.

The Assistant Director of Admissions works with the Director of Admissions to recruit and enroll a strong, diverse, mission-aligned body. With over 370 students enrolled, we currently pull from 28 different zip codes, have an acceptance rate of 50%, and 86% students of color and 34 different languages present in our community. The person filling this position will help lead the admissions process from recruitment to inquiry to enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Admissions in developing and implementing a comprehensive admissions strategy.

  • Conduct tours and informational sessions for prospective families, as well as organize admissions events, articulating the school’s values and educational philosophy.

  • Manage applications and maintain accurate and confidential applicant files and materials.

  • Analyze admissions data to identify trends and inform recruitment strategies.

  • Promote the school across various media and community events.

  • Provide exceptional service to prospective families, ensuring a smooth and welcoming admissions process.

  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current on educational trends and standards.

  • Actively engage in the life of the school.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, educational administration, or a closely related field.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to speak persuasively and listen attentively.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to think strategically and work independently as well as part of a team.

  • A passion for education and a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school environment.

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office, and willing to learn new technology, including Ravenna-Admit, as needed.
