Florida Crystals Corporation Electrician in Belleville, Ontario

Redpath Sugar is part of the ASR Group, the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons of sugar.

The Redpath Belleville plant is a blending and packaging operation producing a variety of sugar containing products for customers in Canada and the U.S. The plant operates state of the art high speed mixing and packaging systems supported by high level safety, quality and logistics systems.

We are seeking individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing operation and have excellent communication skills, a drive for results and have the energy and vision to recognize and implement improvement opportunities both independently and as part of a team with members of all levels of an organization.

Overview:

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and maintenance support for the entire plant.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Follow all job-related guidelines and procedures for personal safety, food safety, environment and company security (including but not limited to lockout/tag out, use of P.P.E.’s, Hazard Analysis, chemical and product spills, recycling) as required

  • Follow all acts, regulations and codes related to facilities, equipment, environmental protection, and Health and Safety at all times

  • To troubleshoot, maintain and repair all production, packaging and ancillary equipment throughout the plant

  • Other duties as assigned by management

    Qualifications:

  • Certified Licensed Electrician

  • Experience in an industrial maintenance environment

  • General electrical knowledge including PLC troubleshooting, relay control, transformers (HV/LV), and calibration/instrumentation

  • Must exhibit accuracy, efficiency, effectiveness and initiative in the job

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team environment

  • Strong Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code

  • Has worked in an industrial manufacturing plant for 3 years

  • Wage rate is $44.37/hour

    Asset Qualifications:

  • Industrial troubleshooting experience

  • Experience with HMI including PanelView and PanelView Plus

  • Experience with PLC including Allan Bradley RS 500 and Allan Bradley RS 5000

  • Total Performance Management (TPM) experience
