Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, grant-funded, administrative position of Older Adult and Caregiver Counselor.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is a full-time grant-funded position which is generally scheduled to work 40 hours per week. The work consists of intake and managing a clinical caseload of older adults and caregivers of older adults regarding their situational difficulties and resources to assist them. In addition, this position assists as appropriate with community education, support programs, grant application and management. Works with limited supervision. This position is dependent upon external funding.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling required. LCSW or LCPC strongly preferred. May consider licensure applicants in need of clinical supervision to obtain licensure.
  2. Two (2) years post graduate work in mental health counseling and /or with older adults preferred.
  3. Must have a valid drivers license, proof of automobile insurance, and a personal vehicle available for business use.
  4. Background clearance check required.\ \

STARTING PAY AND HOURS

Salary Grade 1 on the Administrative Pay Scale, ranging from \$33,750 \$47,250 per year.
