Essential Duties:

  • Identify lumber coming off the chain, sort lumber according to quality and size, and place lumber that matches the required dimensions onto carts
  • Safely and accurately organize and stack lumber.
  • Straighten lumber and safely clear jammed material on the chain.
  • Clean areas around and under equipment using blowers, shovels, and other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and abide by all safety regulations and requirements.

Job Requirement:

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Desire to work outdoors in inclement weather and adverse conditions.
  • Ability to be in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable wearing PPE (gloves, goggles/face shield, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, and any other required safety equipment) for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to move and maneuver lumber weighing up to 50 lbs.
