Electrical Supervisor , Belledune , New Brunswick

When you join our team as an Electrical Supervisor , you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment on site, carrying out planned shutdowns, enforcing occupational health and safety standards, and working with the Maintenance team to ensure plant production continuity. You will also be responsible for leading a group of electricians.

What You’ll Do

  • Support, develop or improve electrical systems to optimize the efficiency of interventions related to equipment problems (in compliance with occupational health and safety standards).

  • Develop and implement internal policies, procedures and standards according to industry best practices, as well as manufacturing practice validation systems.

  • Prepare, review and execute system maintenance plans and troubleshooting (PLC / HMI).

  • Identify causes through the application of problem-solving processes in order to implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

  • Ensure the training and professional development of the group of electricians under his/her responsibility.

  • Manage and ensure cost control of allocated budgets.

  • Proactively manage all day-to-day departmental activities, in collaboration with other sectors.

  • Ensure optimization of resources according to issues and needs.

  • Perform all other related tasks.

What You Offer

  • Interprovincial electrical or instrumentation license with red seal.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a sawmill or processing plant in a similar role.

  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley systems.

  • Knowledge of Omron systems, Comact optimizers, RMC-100 and RMC-150 hydraulic controllers, YASKAWA VFDs and Schneider Sofstart would be an excellent asset.

  • Knowledge of Studio5000, RS Logix 5000, CX-Programmer.

  • Experience and responsibility in health and safety matters and knowledge of best practices in this area.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (Word and Excel).

  • Bilingualism.

  • Organizational and communication skills.

  • Demonstrate inspirational leadership.

  • Results-oriented team player.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate work under tight deadlines.
