Description

Our client in the healthcare industry is currently in need of a Fixed Asset Staff Accountant on a contract to possible permanent basis to assist with preparing journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, capital assets analysis, depreciation and amortization schedules, asset retirements and disposals, lease vs. buy analysis, lease accounting, month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, generating monthly reports on analysis, among other duties as needed. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups is required. Experience with PeopleSoft is a strong plus! Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance REQUIRED! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process journal entries regularly

• Carry out general ledger reconciliations

• Analyze capital assets and maintain fixed asset additions

• Handle depreciation and amortization schedules, and manage asset retirements and disposals

• Conduct lease vs. buy analysis and perform lease accounting

• Assist in month-end close procedures

• Execute balance sheet reconciliations

• Generate monthly reports on analysis

• Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups

• Experience with PeopleSoft will be advantageous

Requirements • Proficiency in capital assets management

• Extensive knowledge in fixed asset accounting

• Ability to handle fixed asset depreciation tasks

• Experience with fixed asset additions

• Familiarity with maintaining fixed assets

• Competence in preparing and reviewing journal entries

• Experience with general ledger management

• Experience in month-end close processes

• Knowledge and experience in lease accounting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

• CPA certification is a plus.
