BlackRock DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes), Production Engineering, Associate in Belgrade, Serbia

About this role

About the team:

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join the Production Engineering team, working within the Aladdin Engineering, Mission Control - Production Engineering team. A person who has a passion for technical solving, learning new technology tools, and improving new procedures & processes!

This role involves identifying trends and being a problem solver with a shown curiosity about quickly learning new technologies and proprietary systems. You will be a technical product guide, during customer implementation projects, prioritize and implement the system deployment plans while automating software integration and developing reports in compliance with applicable project requirements. If you have a background in supporting critical applications in enterprise environments and a track record in outstanding service delivery, we would love to speak to you!

About the role:

  • Build, deploy, and maintain platform and application infrastructure hosted in Azure.

  • Assist in crafting, and implementing cloud-based solutions with a focus on platform engineering.

  • Automate tasks and processes to meet business requirements, using scripts, and code.

  • Participate in projects to improve resiliency and ensure the availability and stability of company systems.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to craft, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-based services, in a multi-time zone environment.

  • Solve engineering issues, provide RCA, and propose engineering-focused solutions.

  • Provide L1 and L2 operational support levels for cloud-based services.

  • Build and maintain comprehensive documentation related to cloud infrastructure, engineering practices, and security configurations.

About you:

  • A degree specializing in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or a similar field.

  • 3 years of shown experience in an engineering role.

  • Experience with Azure cloud provider services.

  • Strong experience in Azure Kubernetes platform including provisioning, upgrading, scaling, lifecycle management, and operational support.

  • Strong experience in deploying and handling Kubernetes objects via GitOps framework, automating provisions of Kubernetes infrastructure and services using Terraform, Ansible, etc.

  • Experience in supervising Kubernetes clusters and resources using Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Experience with Azure Storage accounts, Key vaults, Event Hubs, Event Grids, Azure monitor, etc.

  • Experience with network services DNS, SFTP, etc.

  • Experience with Linux Server environments.

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

  • Experience in fixing and supervising system resources (CPU, RAM, etc.)

Good to have:

  • Certification in Azure services\technologies.

  • Previous experience working in the Financial Services or Technology industry.
