WestRock Company Maintenance Technician in Belfast, United Kingdom

The opportunity: The successful candidate will maintain a range of automated print/cut crease/gluing machinery in a manufacturing environment for the Belfast site. This includes regular maintenance of machinery and the use of fault-finding methods to establish cause of breakdowns or machine failures and repair/replace appropriate parts as necessary

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Respond to breakdowns and requests for maintenance in a timely manner

  • Improve perform maintenance methods and procedures used on all machines on site

  • Log and record duties performed

  • Analyse trends in reoccurring faults and breakdowns

  • Work with site maintenance engineer to reduce downtimes on machines

  • Investigations of faults and diagnostics - to fault find problems with machines (both electrical and mechanical) using a systematic approach and problem-solving techniques

  • Develop and maintain a professional customer relationship with operators of the machines and work together to improve the flow of communication regarding faults and work in partnership to increase the performance of all machines

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience in automated machinery ideally in a manufacturing environment

  • Good level of computer literacy

  • Methodical and ability to prioritise workload

  • Electrical capabilities with an understanding of mechanical systems

  • Must be flexible and capable of responding quickly to urgent repair requests
