This Position is for a Senior Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic with a work location in Belden, MS.

Senior Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic

Seeking talented and driven Senior Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanics who will help the Company achieve the goal of being "The Best Cat Dealer, Period." This individual will have extensive experience in heavy equipment repair and technical knowledge of construction equipment and engine mechanical failures with a strong focus on customer service. They're a go-getter and take the initiative to solve problems that come their way. They show up with a positive attitude ready to uphold the highest standard of safety.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You'll be responsible for set up, repair, service, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and installation of replacement parts on Caterpillar diesel-powered construction equipment. While you'll work independently for the most part, there are also service mentors who will provide guidance as needed.

You'll also

Interpret and analyze mechanical, hydraulic, and electric schematics and wiring diagrams

Provide high quality repair service on equipment engines

Serve customers' needs in a positive, safe, and timely manner

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Diesel engine, construction equipment, and/or truck engine training through an accredited technical school OR relevant military experience preferred

5+ years of previous hands-on relevant experience with CAT equipment or similar industrial equipment and/or industrial engines

5+ years of experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting diesel-powered construction equipment or truck engines

Can work five-day work schedules and availability to work overtime or weekend hours as required

Owns a complete set of basic mechanical hand tools (drives, sockets, and wrenches)

Possess and maintain a current, valid state drivers' license
