Job Information

Amazon Software Development Engineer, Amazon Global Logistics Tech in Beijing, China

Description

Amazon Global Mile Cross Border Fulfillment (XBF) team is focused on breaking down barriers to allow 3rd party sellers to sell their items to customers around the world. The XBF team develops software that removes friction from the process of cross border selling for 3rd party sellers. We need your help to grow the business by building highly-available, scalable distributed systems that provide clean interfaces between sellers, customers and Amazon's software.

SDE, XBF: "I enjoy working in XBF, because our projects have high exposure and are being used by Amazon customers from all over the world, and you can feel that you are actually making a difference."

The Amazon Global Remote Fulfillment (aka GRF) team is building next generation Global Remote Fulfillment platform, which is an important program in XBF to allow seller selling across border with the lowest barrier. The Global Remote Fulfillment platform allows Sellers to sell cross-border without splitting their inventory into a foreign marketplace, thus expanding selection for local Customers. This solution removes critical blockers for Sellers on the US marketplace to expand into MX, CA, and EU (e.g. partitioning inventory and fulfilling international orders) as well as reduces complexity for Sellers (e.g., trade and export/import compliance, inventory awareness). Our long term goal is to expand our platform to Amazon 150+ marketplaces throughout the world. If you want to learn how Amazon works, and if you want to make a big difference, on a team that is truly innovating--that's us!

Besides that, we own FBA export system which helps FBA sellers expand their business to more than 100 countries without dealing with the complexities of selling internationally. After enrolling in the program, eligible products become available for export in seller's domestic marketplace. When international customers place orders in a marketplace, Amazon picks, packs, and ships the order directly to the customers. Our goal is to extend FBA export to more source countries to achieve full coverage of international selling.

We are looking for talented SDEs who have demonstrated the ability to build innovative software solutions that will work for a global set of customers. If you are interested in learning more about this chance to make history contact Ivy Chen(cchn@)
