JST Big Innovation Team (BIT) owns dynamic and growing multi-billion dollar business. We take advantage of Amazon’s scale to build and grow our eCommerce business with the same high level of standards that Amazon customers expect.
We are building and inventing systems that enable JP store to grow their business faster. From a technology point of view, BIT creates many challenges of scale and complexity that result from being the intersection between software and the physical world. Our large distributed systems are composed of several dozen different services. In addition to backend systems, BIT also owns a diverse set of customer-facing mobile application functionalities and Seller-facing Web UIs that are continually enhanced. To support our level of scale and rate of growth, we need the experienced and passionate Software Development Engineer who will relentlessly drive to improve both the architecture of our systems and the user experience they provide.
Key job responsibilities
As a software development engineer you will work with multiple teams and talented engineers to push our systems to their limits and beyond. What you build will have huge impact on millions of Amazon customers.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
