Microsoft Corporation Senior Software Engineer (Data) in Beijing, China

MAI (Microsoft AI Team including Search/Ads/MSN/Edge) Data in Microsoft STCA is responsible for developing and operating one of the world’s largest data eco-system: PiB data has been being processed, stored and accessed via the data API every day by streaming/batches, from instrumentation to analytics. Besides, modern open-source technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Kylin and Click House are widely used in the team to run the big data business successfully. Thousands of developers in Bing, Ads, MSN, and Edge are working on top of the data products that the team build. We’re looking for passionate data engineers to join us for the mission of powering Microsoft Search/Ads/MSN businesses through data substrate and infusing our data capabilities to the industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop key capabilities for our planet-scale data systems

•Build intelligence on top of 400 PiB of Microsoft data assets to power Microsoft businesses and industry

•Work with world-class engineer/scientist team on Big Data, Analytics and OLAP/OLTP

•Embrace both Microsoft technology and cutting-edge open-source technology (Spark/Kafka/Click House/Kylin, etc.)

Qualifications

  • 5 years+ in software or data related experience.

  • Experience in data architecture and system design is a plus.

  • Passion on big data, data science and analytics,Solid coding, engineering, and analytical skills

  • Good analytics skill, good communication skill, fluent in English (both oral and written)
