Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Full Stack Engineer with at least 10 years of proven experience in full stack development. The ideal candidate will possess strong coding capabilities, a passion for tackling challenging projects, and a positive, innovative mindset. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and user experience of Bing Images, leveraging your deep technical expertise and customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and implementation of full stack solutions, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

Problem-Solving: Take ownership of complex technical challenges, providing innovative solutions and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Development: Implement high quality software features, analyze the results of A/B experiments and make informed decisions on user impact.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to align on project goals and deliverables. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

Innovation: Drive innovation in image search technologies, exploring new techniques and methodologies to enhance product features and user experience.

Customer Obsession: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors to inform product decisions and improvements. Actively seek feedback and iterate on solutions to meet user expectations.

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent required.

10+ years of experience in web front-end and backend development with JS/Typescript/C#, etc.

Great design, problem solving, and data analysis skills, with demonstrated passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence.

Comprehensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.

Motivated and able to work independently as well in a collaborative team setting to research innovative solutions to challenging technical/business problems.

Good communication skills in English.
