Job Description Summary

As China Leader, Investigations, Monitoring and Transparency (IMT), you will lead a team of professionals in Beijing and Shanghai doing compliance monitoring and investigations. You will be an experienced compliance monitoring professional responsible for executing various activities to monitor and audit the design and effectiveness of compliance policies, procedures, and controls. In addition, you will have investigations experience and will be able to advise your team about investigations strategy and execution. You should also be familiar with data analytics including visualization tools such as Power BI or similar programs. You will coordinate with other regional leaders and the global data analytics leader to work on global monitoring projects, to continue to build the data analytics program and do other ad hoc tasks, as needed.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Carry out timely Compliance monitoring activities related to GE Healthcare’s Improper Payment Prevention (IPP), Dealer Compliance Program and other compliance policy / procedure / control areas identified through the Compliance Risk Assessment and/or trends and root cause analyses

  • In China carry out timely country-specific compliance monitoring activities

  • In China oversee and conduct prompt and thorough Ombuds case investigations regarding alleged violations of GE Healthcare policy or relevant laws/regulations

  • Create well-documented investigation reports and corrective action plans, communicating relevant information, trends and root cause analyses to key stakeholders

  • Support non-Ombuds Legal and Compliance investigations, including under direction of the Global Chief Litigation Counsel and Global Labor and Employment Counsel

  • Closely coordinate with stakeholders in Compliance, Legal, Controllership, HR, other functions and commercial/product teams regarding monitoring, investigations and compliance trends

  • Lead a team of high-performing compliance professionals, including coaching and professional development

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 10-years professional experience in compliance, investigations, monitoring, law, internal audit, data analytics, data science, controllership and/or other relevant areas, preferably with a multi-national life sciences, medtech, pharma, or healthcare company

  • Unquestioned integrity and ethics in business and personal conduct

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust

  • Strong analytical, process management and implementation skills, sensitivity to issues, strong facilitation and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to translate technical information into business language

  • Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitments despite pressure

  • Knowledge of and experience with compliance issues such as anti-corruption/Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, fraud and abuse, third party compliance, anti-money laundering, controllership, conflict of interest and supplier relationships

  • Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to manage high-performing teams in a global, multicultural, matrixed environment

  • Strong data analytics skills, including familiarity with applications such as Spotfire, OBIEE, Concur, Tableau or Power BI, Teradata and PEGA

  • Strong Word, Power Point, Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPS, pivots) and Smartsheet skills

  • Professional fluency in English is required; foreign languages skills are a plus

Desired Characteristics

  • Law degree or post-graduate degree

  • Machine learning and robotic process automation experience
