GE Healthcare Chief Compliance Officer, Greater China in Beijing, China

Job Description Summary

The Chief Compliance Officer for Greater China is a Senior Level leader entrusted with furthering compliance cultural transformation in the China organization. This is a leader that is a business partner who, with China leadership, will enable growth through intelligent risk taking, policy/process optimization and enhancing the compliance program to create competitive advantage. Specifically, the China Chief Compliance Officer will assess business strategy, identify related risks, and implement proactive risk mitigation activities. The leader will also be a transformational subject matter expert on compliance risk assessment and monitoring, policy, training, communication, and investigations. In partnership with the Global Compliance Team, the China Chief Compliance Officer will oversee export control matters for the region. This person will lead an organization of compliance professionals that will continue to enhance a best-in-class compliance culture. Partnering with the Global Compliance team, this leader will implement GE Healthcare’s compliance program to meet local needs and the risk profile.

Job Description

1. Assessment and continuous improvement of current compliance environment, risks, and program activities

  • Work with legal and compliance teams on ongoing investigations and related matters

  • By 120 days in role, have established review of current compliance environment and have made recommendations for revisions to current state

  • Develop metrics and dashboards in coordination with global team to provide leadership with the appropriate indicators of compliance health

  • Review and optimize China-specific IPP compliance controls to balance risk and speed/efficiency

  • Support Compliance Risk Assessment mitigation plans with China leadership team, enabling growth through intelligent and thoughtful risk-taking to protect the business

2. Enhancing the culture of Compliance in China with ownership by China Leadership Team

  • Establish regular compliance program enhancement discussions across P&Ls on a quarterly basis

  • Develop real time and relevant examples of compliance successes, opportunities (internal and external examples) and government enforcement initiatives to share with China leadership team for the purpose of learning and best practice sharing and potential program enhancements

  • Provide ongoing training support to the business on GE HealthCare’s The Spirit & The Letter and other global, regional, and business policies and procedures, including, for example, coordinating with the global compliance team to manage the business’ Indirect Third Parties, including due diligence, on-boarding, training, and auditing

3 . Assess and develop appropriate team to support China Compliance efforts

  • Review resource allocation across P&L’s and subject matter areas, rebalance or discuss resources where required

  • Assess team members core competencies and development areas, create individual development plans to enhance individual and team growth

4 . Measuring compliance culture

  • Create method of measurement of compliance culture, beyond GEHC Culture Survey, to more closely track and understand compliance understanding and ownership by the China business
