IQVIA Assoc Data Sc & Adv Anlytcs Mgr (Support Real World Evidence) in Beijing, China

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team and client to shape and develop requirements for ambitious life science questions

  • Translate business requirements into data science-focused solutions

  • Communicate technical concepts and analytical output to a diverse set o stakeholder (internal and external)

  • Own the delivery of projects from a technical perspective: working closely with consultants, and other team members in an agile environment to deliver high quality, robust insights

  • Work closely with consultant, disease area expert, and technology expert to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and areas for improvement across the workflow, such as developing new offering etc.

Requirements:

  • Graduated degree or higher in a technical or scientific domain, such as Statistics, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science; public health/epidemiology background is preferred.

  • Two to five years of experience working in a technical/consulting environment involving advanced analytics, preferably in a commercial setting.

  • Strong scientific programming skills in languages such as Python, R, SAS, SQL.

  • Appetite for applying new and existing technology to challenging problems in life science, i.e. motivated by solving the problem.

  • Knowledge of supervised machine learning methods, such as regularized regression, ensemble tree-based models, support vector machines, deep learning methods, etc.

  • Basic knowledge of Natural Language Processing, such as sentiment analysis, topic model, NER, etc.

  • Good written and spoken communication skills, including ability to present technical concepts to non-expert, write analysis plans for projects under guidance, contribute to proposals applications, etc.

  • A proactive, innovative, and pragmatic approach to problem solving and an ability to think critically and independently, able to work as part of a cross-functional team

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
