International, Challenging and Future-Oriented! To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for an Accountant (m/f/x) . In this position you will work in a department that is working hard to make the energy transition a reality, both nationally and internationally.

What will you be doing?

As an Accountant , all closing activities are monitored and managed. In the initial phase you will be assisted by external experts.

  • Coordinate the accounting closing and reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS/local GAAP financial statements) and ensure that the reporting requirements are fulfilled.

  • Coordinate the VAT reporting while ensuring the fulfillment of the reporting requirements.

  • Coordinate the Intrastat reporting, customer listing and corporation tax.

  • Perform regular analytical and critical reviews and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts.

  • Supporting management and operational business based on accounting and closing topics.

  • Active participation on preparation of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Belgian GAAP.

  • Implementation of accounting policies, guidelines, working instructions and adaption of related processes.

  • Process improvement and assisting in implementing system changes either due to global or local changes (e.g. SAP4Hanna implementation).

  • Cooperation with external and internal auditors

  • Responsible for making certain month-end journal postings and disclosure submissions.

  • Responsibility for first level support/coordination for Business in preparing external and internal reporting according to Local GAAP/IFRS as well as for queries related to financial reporting guidelines, chart of accounts as well as accounting and consolidation topics.

  • Perform and implement controls.

  • S upport with treasury activities (bank statements, coordination of payments, …)

You will complete these tasks together with the employees of our accounting, finance, customs, and tax departments with whom you form one team.

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or economics (or equivalent).

  • You have acquired experience in a similar role.

  • You can work with SAP R/3 Business Warehouse, MS Office, IFRS, local GAAP and SOX.

  • You are a critical thinker, solution oriented, enterprising , are not afraid to speak up.

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English . Knowledge of French is a plus.
