An Electro-Mechanical Technician job is available with a service client in Beech Island, SC. In this role, you will act as a senior material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at a specific site location. You will have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in controls engineering. You will be proficient in PLC communications and Equipment Management Software. You will create schematic and panel assembly drawings, working with PLCs and HMIs, and implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects.

Hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.

  • Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system operation and design.

  • Performs full range of standard work for the professional field.

  • Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.

  • Locates and tracks spare parts from inventory.

  • Performs complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Aids with training customers to operate equipment.

  • Responds to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.

  • Identifies problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Minimum High school degree

  • Experience with mechanical and some electrical knowledge of conveyor systems

  • Experience creating schematic and panel assembly drawings, working with PLCs and HMIs, and implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects

  • Mechanical maintenance experience with some conveyor equipment experience is required as well as drives, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, and other related equipment

  • Specialized skill training/certification may be required.

  • Demonstrates a senior-level knowledge of 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.

  • Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key tasks as presented above.

  • Ability to be customer facing while maintaining professional communications through email and in person conversations with onsite customer leadership

  • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
