Position Summary:

The Bed Coordinator position will be an internal resource and role model to all staff to promote optimal Customer Service Standards and enhance patient flow. This position will facilitate communication between the patient point of entry and the healthcare team and is designed to improve overall customer satisfaction through multiple venues. This position is responsible for assisting with bed placement in collaboration with Nursing House Supervisor, Nursing Directors, Case Managers and Charge Nurses. Upon direction of House Supervisor, Nurse Director or Case Manager assigns patient beds as available and communicates assignments to Charge Nurse of appropriate Nursing Unit. Keeps abreast of available beds within the facility at all times.

Minimum Work Experience Demonstrated leadership, management and problem solving skills and abilities; demonstrated teaching and communication skills, demonstrated objectivity, tolerance and understanding; demonstrated ability to form and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all members of the health care team.
