Sierra Nevada Corporation Security Specialist III in Beavercreek, Ohio

As a Security Specialist III, you will support all facets of SNC's Security Program to include personnel security, document control, DD254 review and preparation, visitor access and control, physical security, and supporting security investigations. You will also have the opportunity to expand your security knowledge across a wide range of security disciplines and participate in internal security working groups and special project initiatives.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with developing, implementing, and monitoring DoD, SAP, and SCI/special security policies and procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the security program.

  • Serve as customer service liaison for the Beavercreek, OH security department, Initiate personnel security actions (to include Special Access and SCI) clearance processes, program accesses and visit requests for SNC employees as required.

  • Receive and dispatch classified material; conduct inventories of classified holdings, understand all facets of Document Control to include marking requirements.

  • Assists with conducting DoD, SAP, and SCIF self-inspections and will be alternate POC for Security compliance audits/inspections, IAW 32 CFR, ICDs and other applicable Government directives

  • Develops and administers visitor controls, new employee security briefings exit interviews, and debriefings. As well as assist with investigating and reporting security violations, and incidents

  • Maintains a working relationship with each contract's security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances/accesses, and maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with government requirements.

  • Maintain DD254’s (both prime and Sub) to include up to date, all revisions and related correspondence.

  • Provide support as alternate COMSEC custodian, Contractor Program Security Officer, and Contractor Special Security Officer for associated programs

  • Support telephonic/in-person response to facility alarms and after-hours security notifications

Must Haves:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • 4+ years of experience in security, military, or administrative fields

  • Higher education in a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience

  • Strong verbal and electronic communication skills

  • General understanding of security regulations and best practices

  • Knowledge of 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)

  • Current Top Secret security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain any applicable SCI

Preferred:

  • Experience with access control/visit control/badge management systems and software

  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) regulations • SCI and/or SAP program security experience

  • DISS/NISS experience

  • SIMS Software experience

  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects

  • Ability to work with people in a team environment and deal effectively with changing project priorities

  • Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions
