HCST has an immediate opening for an experienced enterprise windows support technician at our BEAVERCREEK OHIO office.

The ideal IT Support Specialist will handle a variety of enterprise support tasks while working directly with our primary clients. Among these tasks would be Server installation and support, support of virtualized server environments, Microsoft 365 migrations, management and administration, deployment and support of workstations, and network management.

 

Server Installation and support encompasses installation, configuration and long-term support of Windows Servers. Server installations are predominantly hosted in a virtualized VMWare (ESX) or Microsoft HyperV environments. Experience with virtualization best practices is helpful. Server Management includes services such as File Sharing, Group Policies, Active Directory account management, DHCP, DNS, and Printers. Familiarity with Datto BCDR solutions is helpful. Experience with migrations to, and management of enterprise Microsoft 365 deployments is necessary.

 

HCST provides deployment and long-term support of workstations for clients, predominantly Windows 10/11. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, malware detection, cleanup and prevention and remote access (Cisco AnyConnect and L2TP).

 

HCST supports deployment and management of enterprise networks, including multi-site with VPN connections. Familiarity with Routers, Switches and WiFi Access points (mostly Cisco and Ubiquiti) is necessary. Basic knowledge of network technologies such as VLANs, inter-site routing and Site-to-Site VPNs is necessary.

 

Familiarity or experience with the Autotask Professional Services (ticketing) environment or similar systems is a definite distinguishing factor, but not required.

 

A friendly and outgoing personality, ability to professionally interact with users with a diverse set of skills and experience, and the ability to quickly adapt in a very dynamic work environment, supporting a wide variety of customers in different industries is necessary, and provides an interesting work environment.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Administration, installation, and support of Windows Server operating systems
  • Administration and support of server virtualization environments
  • Administration and configuration of Microsoft 365 environments including email services, OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune
  • Installation and support of Windows desktop operating systems, hardware, and peripherals
  • Ensure successful backup and recovery of server operating systems
  • Administration, installation, and support of network hardware including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
  • Maintain configuration and support documentation
  • Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once per month

     

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2022 including Group Policy, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, file sharing, and printer management

Microsoft Windows 10/11 in a business environment
