Actalent Engineering Technician in Beatrice, Nebraska

Description:

We are hiring for an engineering technician to join our growing Innovation team. This position will be responsible for working on new automated production lines that will be equipped with state of the art technology to be used around our plants nationally. This person should possess a passion for automation, be able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, wire control panels, and set up and help with the programming process of robotic production lines. PLC programming is a plus, as well as experience with soldering printed circuit boards and running tests for troubleshooting purposes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Associates Degree considered in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems) or a closely related technical field.

2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in robotics and control system support.

Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Software control systems and FANUC robotics experience preferred.

Data collection and monitoring software experience.

Strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision and accuracy

Electromechanical technical experience and an understanding of machine design.

Ability to apply analytical skills yielding creative results

Proven understanding of machine communication protocols (ethernetIP, Devicenet, etc)
