Chart Industries in Beasley, TX is looking for experiencedwelders.Must be willing to work overtime and pass 2 weld tests - a 6G Tig test on carbon steel 2” pipe and a 2G weld test.Chart’s experienced weldersplaya key role in the manufacturing process of producing Aircooled Heat Exchangers.

Open interviews every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am - 12pm. Walk-in and take a tour with a manager!

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques

  • Ability to lay-out, burn holes, fit and weld nozzles

  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process

  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness

  • Performs a variety of tasks

  • Promotes and supports safety and production

  • Makes quality visual U.T. and x-ray welds

Your Education Should Be…

High school diploma or its equivalent required

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to work inside and outside

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHILE IN THE SHOPS

  • Safety Glasses

  • Steel Toe Shoes

  • Ear Plugs

  • Gloves

  • Hard Hats

  • Face Shield (when needed)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

Minimum Experience:

1-3 years related experience

Skills Required (i.e. certifications, licenses, registrations, etc.):

May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty

REQUIREMENTS - MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings

  • Ability to operate overhead-crane

  • Familiarity with welding machines and hand tools

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Ability to work under general supervision

  • Ability to work different shifts

  • Ability to pass 6G Tig test on carbon steel 2” pipe

  • Ability and willingness to learn to operate basic cutting equipment

  • Ability to lift

  • Possesses positive attitude
