What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program, operate, and set up vertical and horizontal CNC mill

Performs all tasks in safe and responsible manner

Reads and interprets blueprints

Responsible for writing programs to accomplish various machining operations as per the required sequence and dimensions of the job

Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes

Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angel of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media; Facilitate work order paper flow in accordance with company standards

Inspection of parts will be required

Must have tooling and insert change experience

Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to perform each essential duty

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Ability to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written

Must have GibbsCAM, AutoCAD, and/or any other similar software experience

Must be organized and detail oriented

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral diagram form

Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations

Ability to work in shop job capacity

The work involves critical thinking about the part and the ability to determine the sequence of operations

Ability to cross-train to various machines

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or its equivalent required
