Air Combat Command Recreation Assistant (Lead Lifeguard) in Beale AFB, California

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Beale Pools, Beale AFB, CA. This is a temporary position, not to exceed 1-OCT-2024. This position is flexible, not guaranteed hours, and does not receive benefits. Must be able to satisfactory complete pre-employment physical. Must have the following certifications: American Red Cross CPR for the professional Rescuer, American Red Cross Basic First Aid, and American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities at a designated pool. Serves as lead lifeguard and performs lifeguard duties. Overseas pool operations, maintains order and enforces established rules of safety and behavior. Inspects and sets up facilities for scheduled activities, i.e. open swim, swim lessons, water aerobics, scuba classes, pool parties, lap swim, etc. and ensures the facility is opened at the scheduled times with adequate staffing. Cleans and maintains swimming facilities and ensures hourly chemical checks are conducted and documented. Establishes and monitors work schedules and provides on the job training to new employees. Resolves routine complaints with minimal impact to the activity, and refers more complex or unique situations to the supervisor. May be assigned to perform swim instruction duties as needed if certified.
