Our client is a leading manufacturing company searching for an experienced and dedicated Payroll Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and extensive payroll management experience to contribute to our dynamic team.

Job Description:

As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations for the organization, including managing multiple payrolls across various states. You will lead a team of 4+ payroll professionals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing payroll-related audits, including 401k and workers' compensation audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple payrolls for employees across various states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Lead and mentor a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

  • Coordinate and manage payroll audits, including 401k and workers' compensation audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Handle payroll taxes and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission to regulatory agencies.

  • Oversee month-end payroll processes, including reconciliations and reporting.

  • Stay abreast of multistate payroll laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with changing requirements.

  • Utilize payroll software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR and finance, to ensure payroll-related processes align with organizational goals and objectives.

Compensation:

Depending on experience, the compensation range for this position is between $100,000 to $135,000 annually. There's a strong benefits package as well!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing payroll for over 1,000 employees.

  • Experience managing a team of at least one payroll professional.

  • Proficiency with multistate payroll laws and compliance requirements.

  • Strong understanding of payroll taxes and reporting.

  • Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
