Daily Work Times: 7:30am to 4:00 pm

Scheduled Biweekly Hours: 80

Position Summary:

Maintains cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, and disinfecting. Cleans patients rooms for occupancy after discharge.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Sets up, organizes, cleans and maintains work area.

  2. Cleans items such as, but not limited to, floors, restrooms, showers, tubs, furniture, windows, lights, drinking fountains, fire extinguishers, and waste baskets.

  3. Maintains cleanliness by using methods such as, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, damp mopping, vacuuming, washing, wiping, polishing, disinfecting as appropriate and spot wash walls.

  4. Responsible for correct use of cleaning compounds.

  5. Responsible for using and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.

  6. Replaces supplies as needed.

  7. May be assigned to change drapes, shower curtains and cubicles.

  8. Prepares patient room for occupancy after patient is discharged.

  9. Participates in performance improvement activities.

  10. Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
