CVD COATING OPERATOR - TECHNICAL

General Description:

The Technical Operator will be responsible for the proper operation of High Temperature Vacuum CVD Reactors.

Exemplary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follow Established Safety Practices.
  • Assist with developing, new and comprehensive operating instructions as well as the safe practices
  • Work as team to -- Prepare Reactors (Clean, Load/Unload, Troubleshoot, and Develop Fixtures). Prepare Product (Clean, Hone, Visual Inspection, etc.).
  • Work with hazardous chemicals -- Using appropriate PPE
  • Monitor Processes, record process parameters, note issues and define corrective measures when necessary.
  • Work with Team to define and develop operating parameters based on product type and configuration.
  • Work with improvement projects -- Process, Quality, Safety.
  • Housekeeping
  • Operate Lift Truck
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment (Minor Electrical, Computer Interface, Mechanical).
  • Data Acquisition / Data Entry

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma with 2-5 years experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Chemical Process Tech Degree or Certification would be accepted in place of Experience.
  • Knowledge and Experience handling hazardous chemicals
  • Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques
  • Good verbal communication and written skills
  • Team Spirit
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control
  • Mechanically Inclined.
  • Able to lift above head, bending, climbing (Stairs / Ladders)
  • Good Computer Skills (Spreadsheets, Word Processing, etc)
