Envision Education Special Education Teacher in San Francisco Bay Area, California

Envision  Education seeks Learning Specialists to support students in our full-inclusion Special Education program at our 4 Bay Area middle and high schools. Reporting to the Principal the Learning Specialist will lead students in an academic vision of success that focuses on each student's IEP goals, Envision’s graduate profile, and college/career readiness.

In addition to the base salary, this opportunity includes:

  • annual $5,000 Special Education supplement

  • a one-time $5,000 signing bonus 

  • annual $3,500 MA supplement for candidates with a MA degree

  • annual $5,000 CALA supplement for candidates applying to work in our San Francisco school

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead case management of students with IEP's.

  • Train and provide direction and guidance to assigned Instructional Assistants.

  • Coordinate service providers and create schedules of service minutes that meet each students’ IEP requirements.

  • Collaborate with School Psychologist and Associate Director Special Education to conduct assessments, prepare IEP reports, and ensure procedural rights.

  • Create and modify lesson, unit, and instruction plans.

  • Implement accommodations, and modifications to ensure students’ learning success in general education classrooms.

  • Regularly analyze student data and devise strategies to improve instruction

  • Build strong relationships with families

  • Lead IEP teams, and facilitate IEP meetings.

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.

  • Current California Education Specialist credential or out of state equivalent with ability to transfer required.

  • Demonstrated success working with parents and families, especially Black, African American, Latine/a/o/x, and immigrant families.

  • Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

This opportunity may include an annual $5,000 Special Education supplement, annual $3,500 MA supplement, annual $5,000 CALA supplement, and/or a one-time $5,000 signing bonus for hard-to-fill roles.

Compensation, Pay, and Benefits

Annual starting salary range for the 24-25 School year is $67,424 - $102,104 (which includes a $5,000 Supplement) and is dependent upon years of aligned experience and credentials.

  • Additional Supplements for:

  • Second Credential: $500

  • Masters Degree: $3,500

  • Doctorate: $2,000

  • Board Certification: $5,000

  • Lead Learning Specialist (SPED): $10,000

  • Additional Leadership Stipends for:

  • Instructional Lead Team: $5,000

  • Grade Level Lead Team: $5,000

  • Summer Professional Development: $250/day
