Job Purpose and Impact

The Process Engineer will apply process and project engineering techniques to improve moderately complex manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement techniques and project management skills and be a contributing member of a team on moderately complex issues related to the operational domain area. You will provide guidance and oversight of external third parties that are utilized at the site and improve the stability, capability and availability of processes while reducing variability and mitigating risks in the operational area. You will enable the operational area to achieve variable and fixed cost and operating efficiency targets, while protecting our people, communities, the environment and assets and honor our business obligations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review and recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.

  • Assesses current manufacturing equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes.

  • Helps to fix and repair equipment. Shows results in reports.

  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Diplôme d’ingénieur·e Chimie ou généraliste avec orientation Génie Chimique, Génie des Procédés ;

  • Au moins trois années d’expérience en production et/ou procédés

  • Accréditations amélioration continue (Lean SixSigma / Green Belt) est un plus

  • Capacité à travailler efficacement avec des équipes multidisciplinaires et fonctionnelles. Leadership naturel et capacité à pouvoir défendre ses positions.

  • Excellentes compétences de communication orale et écrite.

  • Français et anglais courants
