Job Summary

Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers' standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting

Perform die set operations

Perform PM's on metal stamping dies

Perform quality checks

Perform other duties as required

Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.

Education / Experience / Skills

High School Education or Equivalent (GED)

Accountabilities

This position reports directly to the Tooling Supervisor who is responsible for their department.

Qualifications

Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor preferred.

Experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility

Experience with large transfer and progressive dies a plus

Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework

Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.

Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be able to meet the requirements of being able to work in the United States (INS Form I-9).

Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental Standards

Report occupational injuries, illnesses and accidents

Report hazardous, unsafe and unhealthy conditions
