Onstaff USA, Inc Mold Set-up Technician in Battle Creek, Michigan

We have 2nd and 3rd shift openings at a leading supplier of automotive lighting products, was established in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1985. Founded on the principles of respect, trust, and value, we serve a wide range of customers -- domestic and foreign -- by supplying them with high-quality automotive headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps. 

 

 

*BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: *

  • Changes injection machine die molds, robotic tooling, injection machine programs, and robotic programs efficiently and safely 
  • Verify standard condition is met and complete setup verifications to ensure machine change overs are completed per established requirements
  • Preferred knowledge of Meiki, JSW, Ube, Mitsubishi, and Krauss Maffie molding machines in the range of 180 to 1600 ton
  • Understanding of three and six- axis robotic programming such that positions can be modified as required 
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem solving for any production related problems (e.g. machine breakdowns, scheduling problems, etc.) 
  • Perform minor adjustments to molding machines as needed to regulate pressure, temperature, speed, and feed rates as needed to produce acceptable molded product
  • Performs other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of immediate supervisor

     

     REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) years of previous molding technician experience 

  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • Effective communication skills 

     

     

OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Two (2) years in an automotive quality position 
  • Preferred knowledge of Yushin and Star Robots 

     

     

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED
