Do you have a skill set for working with electrical and mechanical components? Join us in our state-of-the-art facility as a Maintenance Electrician in Battle Creek, MI. Kellogg is looking to bring out the tiger in you by utilizing your skill set troubleshooting, repairing, and collaborating on electrical components! In this role you will partner with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel as you keep the plant and production running. You will act as a problem-solver who helps our company maintain a strong reputation and market share!
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Maintaining Equipment and Utilizing Your PLC Knowledge - You will be alternating in between troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and on the spot machine repair. You will need a firm focus and understanding of programmable logic control lers and robotics. Candidate must be able to maintain proper documentation, electrical upgrades, and make modifications and improvements.
Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions - Identifying and examining production equipment failures to un derstand root cause analysis, with the help of interpreting schematics and drawings. Investigating, analyzing and repairing electrical systems while working with PLC programming and other computer-based applications.
Driving Innovation and Communication - Actively improving plant efficiency and identifying cost saving opportunities. While maintaining an open dialogue with Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Mechanics and Operators, on day-to-day activities and long-term improvement projects.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
PLC Troubleshooting experience
High School diploma or GED required.
State of Michigan Journeyman electrician license required.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and / or repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
Incentives to join our team!
$37.19/hour PLUS shift premium and COLA (cost of living adjustment)
2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm, 3rd Shift: 11pm-7am
