Kellanova Associate Process Engineer in Battle Creek, Michigan
Do you love taking part in creating new foods that people will enjoy? As an Associate Process Engineer, you will lead the food process scope and specifications of multiple small food process engineering projects. Innovate with us as you develop and refine food process technology from idea generation through proof of concept to commercialization. This position is located at our Battle Creek, MI headquarters and works within our Salty Snacking business to support Manufacturing across North America.
In this role you will be a key project team member and will interact with employees at all levels of the organization to help them understand processing and operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to travel to and interact with plants and employees across the organization and build relationships across the Kellanova network. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
Drive Business Growth – Demonstrating personal capabilities as a Project Manager, Planner, Coordinator, Communicator, and Technical Expert within the department, while giving general direction to assigned cross-functional teams in accomplishing projects on scientific and technical investigation or developments
What’s Trending? – An innovative mindset in discovery, advancement, and evaluation of new technologies in food/process research and development, and have a significant impact on new products, improved products, and increased efficiency on global processes
Technical Expertise – Working with plant personnel and co-manufacturers you’ll develop and review test plans, estimating scale-up costs, and ongoing operational costs. You will develop process scope, estimations of cost, schedule and equipment vendor recommendations. You will work with the plant team to test, commission and validate this process change
Operations Mindset - With an eye towards efficiency and operational excellence, you will play a leading role in the scale up and commercialization of new products and processes within Kellanova’s manufacturing operations
We’re Looking for Someone With
Clear understanding of process design, equipment, and systems
Experience being a key contributor on a project team
