ASM Global Housekeeping Manager - Raising Cane's River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Position: Housekeeping Manager

Reports to : Director of Facility Operations

FLSA Status : Hourly – Non-Exempt

Summary: The Raising Cane's River Center / ASM GLOBAL is searching for a full-time Housekeeping Manager. The position, located in Baton Rouge, LA is responsible for managing the custodial department for our entire facility. The Housekeeping Manager provides supervision and coordination of full-time, part-time, and third-party workers engaged in the Housekeeping Department. Duties and Responsibilities include :

  • Directs and trains workers engaged in the general cleaning and upkeep of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows, stage skirts, retractable skirts, house curtain as well as clean-up during and after events including 3rd party staff.

  • Works in conjunction with the events department and Requisition Conversion crew supervisor to review the production/ event schedule and create a biweekly schedule for all housekeeping needs. This schedule is reviewed and approved by the Director of Operations.

  • Maintains time in ABI and production records.

  • Ensures that all job assignments are completed during events or shifts.

  • Sets-up venues, as written orders and equipment requirements direct.

  • Inspects completed work for conformance to standards.

  • Submits maintenance request orders for repairs and damages.

  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.

  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

  • Keeps equipment in good working order while following safety procedures.

  • Ensures proper use of all chemicals by housekeeping staff in accordance with MSDS.

  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

  • Performs duties of workers supervised as needed.

  • Enforces all of ASM/Raising Cane's River Center Policies and Procedures.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages all employees in the Housekeeping Department and 3rd party staff.

  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Skills and Abilities

  • Good organization skills

  • Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work with little supervision.

  • Ability to work irregular hours, shifts that include nights, weekends and holidays. Supervisory experience required.

    Computer Skills

    Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and ADP as well as training employees in these systems.
