Overview

An HES Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities, ensuring every school day runs smoothly and students can focus on learning. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school technician provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment.

Job Skills / Requirements

The General Maintenance worker is responsible for the overall maintenance of the School building property.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including inspection and cleaning.

  • Perform routine repairs.

  • Be able to work on special events on weekends as necessary.

  • · Troubleshoot and perform repairs on buildings and facilities.

  • Assist in inspecting and or monitoring energy management systems and emergency equipment to ensure operating conditions of the facility are at appropriate conditions.

  • Completing work orders with written response on how the request was resolved.

  • Inspection of buildings, equipment, and systems periodically to identify any issues.

  • Performs general maintenance tasks, as assigned.

  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.
