The Senior Accountant Analyst applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the below outlined duties. Responsibilities: Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and post journal entries to general ledger accounts to accurately record business transactions. Responsible for updating and maintaining general ledger account reconciliations with supporting schedules and documentation on various accruals for payroll, worker's compensation, legal, accounting, consulting, and other accrued expenses. Manage inter-company process including analyzing intercompany activity and performing correcting entries. Works closely with sales team to analyze sales rebate data to calculate, enter and post monthly rebate journal entries. Prepares schedules, analyses and other PBC request items for annual financial audit. Adhering to month end financial reporting calendar. Ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries. Timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Support continued company integration and continuous improvement projects. Collaborates with shared service center to transition specified accounting activities and manage continued relationship and reviews. Perform and maintain effective internal controls. Assists with other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university desired with 2-5 years' related experience in accounting. CPA and previous public accounting experience required. SAP, Oracle, Hyperion experience preferred. Proficient with MS Office and advanced knowledge with Excel. Experience working in multiple accounting systems and multi-plant locations a plus. Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under time constraints, meet deadlines and work independently. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
