Job Overview:

Fabricate, cut, prepare and fit structural or piping components as instructed to within the tolerances stipulated in the relevant specifications, drawings & WPS. Ensure compliance with HSE policy and any Overriding Company Policies. Inspect all personal tools, equipment and safety devices before use, rejecting and reporting to the foreman if defects are evident.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring that good housekeeping discipline is employed at all times while carrying out his daily tasks

  • Attend all Toolbox Talks

  • Report to Foreman in a timely manner any obstacles which are likely to impede the crew's ability to meet targets

  • Continually observe and communicate any ideas for improvement in Quality or Productivity to the Fitter Foreman

  • Maintain clear traceability of all material cut offs by transferring the material identification in accordance with the project Quality plan, prior to cutting

  • Avoid damage to substrate materials by employing good moving and handling techniques and also material protection during fabrication

  • Responsible for fully understanding instructions and the expectations of productivity and quality

  • High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum Senior High School graduate

  • Possess fitting experience
