Job Overview:

The Project Engineer is responsible in coordinating Inputs from the various functional departments and out house contractors contributing to the execution of the project. Project Engineer will also be coordinating the generation of deliverables/reports/procedures required for the project (globally and within the yard) and provide leadership, support, commitment and guidance on quality and safety issues.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Attend the Weekly Progress Meetings (Internal as well as with Client) and assist in preparation of Minutes of Meetings

  • Prepare high level overall weekly & monthly project progress report/presentation, and review with PMT

  • Lead, plan, manage, coordinate (globally & within yard) medium/large Subcontracts execution

  • Review and update of any scope of work documents produced by the respective functional departments and Identify changes

  • Coordinate and ensure that engineering and associated drafting work is carried out by the respective operational personnel. In accordance with the specifications and schedule

  • Coordinate with the project quality coordinators/inspectors to ensure that the work is being performed per the QC plans

  • Coordinate with the project procurement coordinator to ensure that the materials are delivered per the schedule by resolving technical queries as required

  • Coordinate Free Issue Materials by the Client and assist in the logistics, its shipment and receipt at construction site

  • Identify site progress bottlenecks and provide solutions (Problem Solving)

  • Drive, plan, manage, support, coordinate loadout activities with all parties

  • Prepare & Closeout all project documents including Specification Deviation Requests, TQs, etc

  • Follow up on the Implementation of lessons learned and ensure that lessons learned on the project are prepared and documented in the data base

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement efficiencies, to improve productivity

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 5 years relevant industry experience

  • Bachelor’s degree Telecommunications, Electrical / Instrumentation, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Experienced with Telecommunications and Electrical / Instrumentation engineering, fabrication, and installation

  • Strong leadership, team management and time management abilities with a focus on achieving results while maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Have wide experience with construction and project coordination, including on and offshore operations.

  • Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken

  • Computer literate on Microsoft programs: Word, Access, Power Point, Excel, Project.

  • Self-motivated, self-reliant and able to operate independently, while exercising good independent judgement and decision-making.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and safely maneuver around nearby presence of various equipment.

  • Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance, and stoop, reach on a regular basis

  • Must be able to communicate with Site Team, fluent in Bahasa Indonesia

Preferred Qualification and Education:

  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to deliver results and manage multi-regional and multi-disciplinary team of individuals.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required.

  • Past Telecoms / Electrical experience
