Position Overview

Join our Global Marine & Navy Fire Team, based in Basildon, where you'll manage Fixed Fire Protection projects for military vessels across the world. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical Navy projects on a global scale.

What You Will Do

Technical Interpretation: Understand and interpret clients' technical specifications and commercial documentation.

Project Coordination: Organize and manage deliverable packages and consult with the design manager to request resources based on contract requirements.

Supplier Management: Obtain quotes, procure equipment, and manage logistics, including the generation of shipping documentation.

Client Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for the customer, consulting directly on project needs and updates.

Project Management: Oversee project plans using MS Project, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.

Financial Oversight: Develop progress and financial reports, including revenue and billing forecasts, contract cost control, and attend internal review meetings.

Travel Requirements: UK travel is required, with occasional overseas travel as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing complex projects.

Communication Skills: Excellent ability to consult with clients and collaborate with internal teams.

Technical Understanding: Experience in interpreting technical specifications.

Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Driver's License: Full UK driving license required.

Security Clearance: SC UK MOD Security Clearance required (screening provided by JCI).

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management Certification: PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

Engineering Background: HNC/HND in Engineering or a related field.

Marine Industry Experience Prior experience in the Marine industry is highly desirable.

MoD Contract Experience: Familiarity with MoD contracts.

Fire Protection Industry Experience: Experience in the Fire Protection or Fire Detection industry is an advantage.

HVAC Industry Experience: Experience in HVAC or Chilled Water Plant industry is beneficial.
